Lowest Cost Per Gallon

Reconditioned 330-gallon totes offer the absolute lowest cost per gallon of storage capacity. You get 20% more volume than a 275-gallon model at just a marginal price increase, combined with 60-80% savings over new pricing.

Longest Service Life

Stainless steel IBC totes last 20-30+ years and can be cleaned and reused thousands of times. Although the upfront cost is higher, the total cost of ownership over the container's lifespan is often lower than cycling through multiple poly totes.

Most Versatile

The 275-gallon HDPE tote remains the most universally compatible container in the industry. It fits every standard pallet rack, forklift, truck, and warehouse configuration without any modifications or special equipment.

Product Selection Guide

Not sure which IBC tote is right for your application? Walk through these questions to find the best match for your requirements, budget, and operating environment.

Each question targets a specific use case. If multiple scenarios apply to you, contact our team and we will recommend the optimal combination of products for your operation.

1

Are you storing or transporting food, beverages, or edible ingredients?

You need a Food Grade IBC Tote. These containers are FDA-compliant under 21 CFR 177.1520, triple-washed using documented sanitization protocols, and come with full traceability documentation. If you require the highest level of purity, temperature tolerance, or CIP capability, consider a Stainless Steel IBC Tote instead.

2

Do you need extreme chemical resistance, high-temperature tolerance, or pharmaceutical-grade purity?

Stainless Steel IBC Totes are your best option. Available in 304 and 316L grades, they handle temperatures up to 400°F+, resist aggressive acids and solvents, and can be sterilized to pharmaceutical standards. The higher upfront investment pays for itself many times over with a 20-30+ year lifespan.

3

Do you need the most capacity possible on a standard pallet?

The 330 Gallon IBC Tote delivers 20% more volume than the 275-gallon model on the exact same 40" x 48" pallet footprint. If your warehouse racking has at least 53 inches of vertical clearance, the 330-gallon model will reduce the number of containers you need, cutting forklift moves, pallet positions, and truck trips.

4

Are you looking for the best value for general-purpose liquid storage?

The 275 Gallon IBC Tote is the industry standard for a reason. It fits every standard pallet rack, forklift, and truck configuration. For maximum savings, choose a Reconditioned 275-gallon tote, which delivers the same performance at 60-80% less than new with new valves, gaskets, and a documented inspection report.

5

Do you need to maintain product temperature in cold weather or for viscous materials?

IBC Heating Blankets wrap around your tote to provide controlled, thermostat-regulated heat from 100°F to 180°F. Available as full wraps, side wraps, and base heater pads to match your application. Essential for honey, syrups, oils, resins, and any product that thickens or crystallizes in cold conditions.

6

Do you need replacement parts, adapters, or liners for existing totes?

Our IBC Accessories catalog covers everything from butterfly valves and cam lock adapters to liner bags and custom labels. Available in polypropylene, stainless steel, EPDM, Viton, PTFE, and silicone to match your application requirements. Volume pricing and accessory bundles available.

Important Compatibility Notes

Temperature matters: Chemical compatibility ratings can change dramatically at elevated temperatures. A material rated "Excellent" at room temperature may only be "Fair" at 140°F. Always specify your operating temperature when requesting compatibility guidance.

Concentration matters: Dilute acids and alkalis are generally easier on container materials than concentrated solutions. A 5% sulfuric acid solution behaves very differently from 98% sulfuric acid.

Duration matters: Short-term storage (days to weeks) may be acceptable for material combinations rated "Fair", while long-term storage (months to years) requires an "Excellent" rating for safety.

Mixed products: Some chemical combinations that are individually compatible with a container material can become incompatible when mixed. Always consult your chemical supplier's compatibility data.

Our Quality Guarantee

Every IBC tote we sell is backed by our comprehensive quality guarantee. We inspect, grade, and document every container so you know exactly what you are getting before it arrives at your facility.

100% Leak Tested

Every container in our inventory undergoes pressurized air leak testing before it is listed for sale. We pressurize each sealed tote to a standardized test pressure and monitor for any pressure drop. Containers that fail are immediately diverted to our recycling program. You will never receive a leaking tote from Ohio IBC Totes.

Honest Grading System

Our three-tier grading system (Grade A, B, and C) is applied by trained technicians using standardized criteria. We describe the actual condition of each tote accurately, including any cosmetic imperfections. You will never receive a container that does not match its grade description. Period.

90-Day Warranty

Every reconditioned IBC tote comes with a 90-day warranty covering any defect that was present at the time of sale but not detected during our inspection process. If a tote leaks, has a valve malfunction, or exhibits a structural issue within 90 days of delivery, we replace it at no cost.

Documented Condition Reports

Each tote comes with a condition report detailing the grade assigned, previous contents category, reconditioning date, components replaced, and inspection findings. For food-grade totes, the report includes wash protocol details, sanitization records, and lot traceability information.

New Components Standard

All reconditioned totes receive a new 2" butterfly valve, new gaskets, and a new or thoroughly refurbished 6" top cap as standard. We do not resell worn-out components. When you open the valve on a reconditioned tote, it operates like a brand-new unit.

No-Surprise Returns

If a tote does not match the grade or description you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or issue a full refund. We believe in zero-surprise transactions. What we describe is what you receive.

Our 7-Point Inspection Checklist

  1. 1Visual inspection of HDPE bottle for cracks, crazing, UV damage, staining, and discoloration. The bottle is examined on all sides, top, and bottom under adequate lighting.
  2. 2Steel cage inspection for weld integrity, frame alignment, tube dents, rust, and corrosion. Each weld point is visually checked, and the cage is tested for square alignment.
  3. 3Pallet base examination for cracks, warping, corrosion, and load-bearing capacity. The pallet is loaded to test weight and checked for any flex or instability.
  4. 4Pressurized air leak test with the tote sealed and pressurized. The test pressure is maintained for a defined hold period while monitoring for any drop.
  1. 5Valve and gasket assessment. The bottom valve is tested for smooth operation, complete seal, and drip-free closure. Worn or suspect valves are replaced with new OEM-equivalent parts.
  2. 6Top cap and lid inspection. The 6" fill cap is checked for thread integrity, gasket condition, and proper seal. Vented caps are tested for proper vent function.
  3. 7Final grading and documentation. A trained technician assigns the condition grade based on all inspection findings and completes the condition report with all relevant details for buyer transparency.

Every Reused Tote Makes a Difference

Manufacturing a single new IBC tote generates approximately 110 lbs of CO2 and uses 30 lbs of virgin plastic. When you choose a reconditioned tote from our inventory, you eliminate nearly all of that environmental impact. Over the past decade, our customers have collectively prevented over 1.5 million pounds of plastic from entering landfills and saved enough carbon to offset the emissions of hundreds of cross-country truck trips.

The environmental math is straightforward: reconditioning an existing tote uses approximately 90% fewer resources than manufacturing a new one. That means 90% less energy, 90% less water, 90% fewer raw materials, and 90% less manufacturing waste. When you multiply those savings across thousands of totes per year, the cumulative environmental benefit is enormous.

And when a tote finally reaches the end of its useful life, we do not send it to a landfill. Our recycling program separates the HDPE bottle, steel cage, and pallet base so that each material can be processed and returned to the manufacturing stream. The HDPE is pelletized and used to make new products. The steel is melted and reformed. Nothing goes to waste. That is what a true circular economy looks like in practice.
